The verdict is in ...

... and I love my Sleep Number bed! I have my side very firm and my hubby has his side significantly softer, and we are both happy. Hallelujah! Now if I can just find a pillow. I have fibromyalgia and arthritis, so sleeping (among other things) can be a challenge. I’m thinking about trying one of the water-filled pillows. Anyone tried one, who can give me their take on it?

Today we had some bad weather move through Memphis. I had to drive home through some pretty wicked lightning, wind, etc. There were branches in the road, somebody’s mailbox was in the road, even our trash can was out in the street. Made it home safe and sound, though, and have been watching people on the news who did not fare as well as we did – trees down on homes, a tractor-trailer overturned on the highway, over 100,000 without power, and such.

But we are in for the night and happy to be. Chance is lying on the couch next to me. I think Boots is still hiding in my closet (he doesn’t do storms very well). Hubby is watching something on his computer in the study, and I’ve got “What Not to Wear” on the TV in here. So life is pretty good.

  1. As requested I am visiting your new blog page, and I must say, after reading it and giving it a proper review that I like it. Glad you like your new mattress, and we share the preference for a firm mattress over a soft one. Nice pics of your bed, and bedroom----have to say your walls are begging for artwork---but if your like me, it takes forever to find just the "right" pictures for the right place on the wall----one of those "small things" one gets hung up over . (pardon the play on words)

  2. Thanks for stopping by, Gary. And yes, you are so right -- we are agonizing over the artwork situation. We've been looking, but haven't found the "right" pieces yet... So the search continues.

  3. Patty, I love your new blog & I have a comment already and a question.

I also love the sleep number bed, can't wait until our current wears out and we can buy one too. We were lucky enough to sleep on one at a hotel a couple of years ago.

Also, where do you get these fabulous blog title banners?

  4. Thanks for stopping by, Sadekat, and THANK YOU for following my blog! We do indeed love our mattress; hope you can get one soon.

Vikki at http://vikkislckitchen.blogspot.com/ is the creator of both my blog banners. Is she not talented?? I always tell her she could go into business with all her creativity. She's pretty amazing in my book, and a great friend, too.

  5. Hey Girl,
One, so glad you love the bed. Wish I had one, this old thing is giving me a pain in the " er... back"
Second, sorry I didn't warn you about the weather. Things are a bit dicey around here. After 18 months under lots of stress we're all at the breaking point at once. Seems someone is always in tears. But we're making it through.
Third, you give me way to much credit. I just put some stuff together. I didn't draw or create the artwork. Sure wish I had the hardware to do so... would be great!
    Hugs,
Glad you made it home safe and sound and that you guys didn't suffer any damage. Hugs all around,
    Vikki

  6. Vikki, I'm so glad to hear from you. Bless your heart -- all of you have been through so much, you'd have to be Wonder Woman to NOT be at a breaking point... And - say what you will, you are the most creative person I know. (And yes, I do know quite a few!) :-)
    BIG hugs back to you.
